Summary

Through this semester’s study, I have more in-depth understanding of the basic knowledge of maya, as well as animation principles, through the teacher assigned homework, I more proficient master some operations, especially for the character animation, in the four years of undergraduate study for animation, I think the character animation is the most difficult part, through the first semester of study in lcc, I have more confidence, and for their own I will try to integrate it into my homework, for example, lighting.

Besides showreel ideas, I also met the team and did a team project. In my undergraduate studies, I did a lot of 3D animation shorts, but I had never tried 3D rendering 2D, this was my first collaboration with lcc in the UK, the first short film project, I was mainly responsible for the script, storyboard, scene model, prop model, some material mapping, some character animation, the lighting and rendering and nuke post compositing. I was responsible for the script, storyboarding, scene models, prop models, some texture mapping, some character animation, lighting rendering and nuke post-compositing. I really enjoyed the collaboration and although there were some difficulties along the way, I benefited a lot from it. I am looking forward to working with more people next time to produce more animations.

In addition to this I recorded a presentation to explain in detail what I have learnt this term and what I am looking forward to.

Week 10: Dance!

Based on the video reference found last week, use the characters for character animation, unlike the reference video, to make the movements more animation-like during the production.

Week 9: reference and 2D animation

This week’s homework is to first find a video of the action as a reference, first of all, the production of 2D keyframe animation, familiar with the whole action, in order to better produce 3D animation.

Week 6: Walk And Pose

For this week’s homework, let’s use a simple model to make a walk, and use a human model to pose, so that people can feel the sense of weight.
